Navertech is looking to recruit a First-Line IT Desktop Support Technician to join its existing IT Support team based in Thurso.
The role will involve handling all incoming IT support calls and tickets, carrying out initial troubleshooting and escalating issues to second line technical support, if necessary.
This is an extremely fast paced and diverse role. Candidates must have excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills, plus the ability to adopt a flexible approach to troubleshooting, using your own initiative and working as part of a team.
A computing qualification or work experience in an IT support role is desirable, and experience with the following technologies would be an advantage:-
- Operating Systems – Windows XP to Windows 10, Android & iOS
- Software Applications – Microsoft Office 2010-2019 & Sage Accounts/Payroll
- Networking – Wi-Fi, LANs & Fixed Broadband
- Hardware – PCs, Laptops, Monitors, Mobile Devices & Printers
- Security Softwares – Anti-Virus, Firewall & Backup
- Cloud – Office 365 & Google Mail
- Support Ticketing Platforms (Zendesk or similar)
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, primarily at our Thurso office. Benefits include company pension scheme, workwear and in-house training.
Salary is negotiable based on experience.
